Apricot Chicken over fettucine

MENU:
Apricot Chicken over fettucine, brown sugar carrots, whole wheat rolls, cottage cheese with pineapple

RECIPE:
Apricot Chicken
Cook chicken thoroughly in saucepan. Pour 1 1/2 C of apricot syrup or apricot and peach jam over the top of the chicken. Heat thoroughly. If using syrup, add 1T cornstarch dissolved in 2T cold water to sauce and cook until thick and clear. Serve over noodles, rice or lettuce.

REVIEW:
Unfortunately, a stray dog got into our backyard today and attacked our rooster. This meant that we had to kill him which caused an uncomfortable situation at dinner. Chopping the head off of the rooster made dad sick and so he didn't want to eat any dinner (ESPECIALLY chicken.) Both kids kept making inappropriate jokes about the meal being cooked from our dearly departed rooster. Neither of them ate any meat. I personally, thought the meal was delicious (and I was the one who actually killed the rooster, in the first place.) And no, the meal DID NOT come from the rooster. Since the rooster was attacked by a stray dog we felt it best to dispose of the body rather than eat it.
