Juicy Ham

Sunday Dinner at Grandma's House!

Juicy Ham, creamed onions, J-ello, rolls, roast beef, green bean casserole, berry shortcake, fresh vegies

Noone eats Grandma's rolls without commenting that they are the best rolls EVER! Here is her original recipe. NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED!

Dissolve: 2 yeast packets in 1/2C warm water with 1T sugar.
Melt: 1/2C butter.
Combine: butter with 1C very warm water.
Add: 3 eggs, 1/2C sugar, 1t salt

Beat with rotary beater until well mixed. Now as yeast mixture and mix well. Add 4 1/2 C of Baker's Flour (available at Lehi Roller Mills) and mix well. Cover and let rise in warm place until double in volume. Dough is quite sticky so flour board well but do not knead. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness and cut into circles. Dip entire roll into melted butter. Fold over and put in greased baking pan. Cook at 350 degrees for 15 minutes in a pre-heated oven.

Juicy Ham
Place ham slices in a casserole dish. Cover with any ratio of brown sugar, honey, mustard and pineapple in juice (rings, chunks, crushed, tidbits). Decorate with marrichino cherries if desired. Heat thoroughly.

These two recipes are my kids' favorites. They always clean their plate and ask for seconds (and thirds.)
