Beans and Ham

MENU:
Beans and Ham, homemade bread and jam

RECIPE:
Beans and Ham
Soak 3 C dry beans overnight. Drain. In a large pot combine beans with a leftover ham bone. Cover beans with water. Cook on low heat for 6-10 hours until beans are soft and all remaining meat has pulled off of the bone.

REVIEW:
My grandmother used to make this recipe with leftover ham bones she got from her cousin who owned a catering company. I love how the house smells when the beans are cooking. My husband LOVES this meal. However, I could not convince my 6 year old son that it was tasty. I even told him that if he ate it he would be able to fart all night (first graders love that stuff.) He didn't fall for it. I ended up bribing him with leftover cake.
