Hearty Beans and Chops
I originally got this recipe from Albertson's but I have modified it a bit.
Brown pork chops in oil and drain. In a bowl, mix: 1 can pork and beans or baked beans, 1 can drained corn, 2T steak sauce, 1 package of onion soup mix, 1 1/2 C water. Pour over chops and cook until the meat is tender.
Both older kids wolfed down the banana bread. When we took it out of the freezer, we weren't sure if it was zucchini bread or banana bread. It makes dinner more interesting when it is a surprise. My husband detests banana bread so he ate plain bread and butter.
As for the main course, my 8 year old daughter thinks beans are disgusting. She also doesn't like pork. Of course, I am one of those mean mothers who makes their children try a little bit of everything before they get more of the foods they like best.
