Stroganoff

MENU:
Stroganoff with egg noodles , green peas, peaches, muffins

RECIPE:
Easy Stroganoff
Brown hamburger with diced onions and drain (1/4lb -1lb depending on how much meat you have.) Add one can of cream of mushroom soup. Slice 6 large mushrooms into the mixture. Cook until mushrooms are soft. Add 8 ounces of sour cream and 1/2 C milk. Season with salt, pepper and paprika to taste. Heat thoroughly. Serve over cooked egg noodles.

REVIEW:
This is one of my favorite recipes. I learned it from my mom. I don't put the onions in because my husband insists that cooked onions give him indigestion. All of the amounts can be adjusted. Add more meat if you like it meaty. Use leftover steak if you have it. Substitute canned mushrooms. Try cream of celery soup or homemade white sauce. Use heavy cream or yogurt instead of sour cream. It is a great "raid the pantry" meal. Everyone ate large helpings (except my 9 year old daughter who seems to be getting pickier every day.)
