Orange Peel Beef

MENU:
Orange Peel Beef, Pan Fried Noodles, Pistachio Fluff Salad

RECIPE:
Orange Peel Beef
Prepare sauce: Peel thin strips of orange peel from one orange. Combine with 1/2C honey and the juice of half an orange. Add one diced jalapeno pepper. Let sit for 30 minutes.
Marinate 1/2 pound thinly sliced beef steak strips in the following mixture: 1/2C cream soda, 3T oil, 1t buffalo sauce, 2T sliced fresh ginger, 1t garlic salt, juice of half an orange, 1t dried and diced red chili peppers. Let sit for 1 hour.
Drain meat and stir fry in hot oil. Add sauce and 1/2C green pea pods. Cook until sauce is heated. Serves two.

REVIEW:
With the exception of the kitchen fire, the meal turned out pretty well. (Be sure to drain the meat well before adding to the hot oil. I had flames reaching to the ceiling! My husband is used to the smoke detector going off when I cook but I must say, this was a bit more exciting.) I made up the recipe myself and I thought it was pretty good. It was not as good as P.F.Chang's version yet still tasty. My children thought it was too spicy but my husband enjoyed it.
